Is Safari Sam's All Ages?

Yes, Safari Sam's is all ages club. Selects night are 18+ or 21+ so please check the calendar for details.

Is this the same club as the one in Huntington Beach?

Yes, it is the same Sam Lanni who owned and operated the legendary Safari Sam's in Huntington Beach from 1984-1986. Safari Sam's re-opened in Hollywood on April 13th, 2006.

Cash only at the door. Credit cards are accepted in the bar and restaurant. ATM inside.

What was here before Safari Sam's?

Prior to Sam Lanni purchasing the property in 2004, tenants included Tulips Gentleman's Club, 777 Gentleman's Club, Sunset Strip and Aladdin.

Parking:

Is your parking really free?

Yes, we have 75 spots available before 9pm and 160 spots after 9pm. There is also free parking on Sunset after 7pm.

What's the deal with the Valet?

On busy nights we provide valet parking as a courtesy, however self parking is allowed.

Can I make reservations for dinner?

Online ticket sales will give you an option to purchase a dinner package which insures table seating. If the show does not have a presale option dining is first come, first serve.

In general, yes. Please email amber@safari-sams.com to check availability. Nights booked with national acts or an outside promoter may be restricted.

What are the box office hours?

The box office is open Monday - Friday 12pm - 5pm.

How can I pay for my tickets?

You may buy tickets for shows with advance sales online or in person during box office hours. Shows without pre-sales may be purchased day of show at the door after 7pm (unless otherwise noted). Where can I order my tickets online?

Booking:

How can I book my band?

Please send an electronic press kit or your myspace link to booking@safarisamsclub.com, or if you have an agent have them contact us. We prefer Myspace/EPKs to physical CDs/press kits being sent to the club. Please note that we receive a lot of submissions every day from local and touring bands, and it can take as long as a month to receive a reply. If you are not a headliner (able to draw 200 plus people on your own), it can be a good idea to do some legwork and submit to us a “package,” 3-4 bands that in combination can fill our room.

I'm an outside promoter - how do I bring a show to Safari Sam's?

Safari Sam’s enjoys working with experienced and up and coming promoters. When submitting a proposal to us, please include past venues you’ve promoted with and the bill you’re proposing. What kind of non music acts do you book? Safari Sam's is open to all types of non music acts including but not limited to Theatre, Burlesque, Comedy, Literary Readings and more. What is the Band Pass?

Band Pass is a way for local musicians to help support local music at Safari Sam's.

Band Pass Requirements:

1. You must be in a band that has played here, will play here or really really wants to play here, but have been unable to get on the calendar as of yet.

2. You must have an active myspace page that has you listed as a band member.

3. You and your guest must be at least 18 or over.

To receive your band pass please e-mail your name, e-mail address, band name and myspace URL to bandpass@safarisamsclub.com. Band passes will be available for pick up at the club 12pm to 5pm Monday - Friday and 7pm to Close Mondays and Tuesdays. You will need to have a valid ID showing that you are 18 or over to pick up your band pass. Your pass will be active for 6 months from date of pick up. This entrance is subject to availability and management's discretion. This means that if the show might sell out then you would not get in. Also, on nights with outside promotions the pass will not be active. On nights that the pass is active you and your guest must have a valid ID to get in. To find out if the band pass is active on any given night please check the calendar at com, and look for the band pass symbol for the show that you are interested in attending.
